爱沙尼亚电子居民计划催生配套服务产业热潮
When Estonia launched its pioneering e-Residency programme in 2014, few predicted it would reshape the global freelancing landscape. The digital identity card allows anyone from anywhere to establish and manage an EU-based company entirely online, without ever setting foot in the Baltic nation. By last year, more than 100,000 e-residents from over 170 countries had signed up, drawn by the promise of borderless business.
Yet the real surprise has been the explosion of third-party services that have sprung up to support these digital entrepreneurs. A whole cottage industry now exists: Tallinn-based startups and boutique law firms offer everything from company incorporation for as little as €190 to ongoing compliance, virtual office addresses, and specialised tax advice. One firm, called “Nordic Nexus,” for instance, has processed over 5,000 applications since 2019, growing 40% annually.
