潜入加勒比海,探访水下雕塑公园
Off the west coast of Grenada, in the clear turquoise waters of Molinere Bay, lies the world's first underwater sculpture park. Created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, this submerged gallery opened in 2006 and now features over 65 concrete works. The installations were not designed solely for human visitors; they function as artificial reefs, giving marine life a foothold on the sandy seafloor.
The most famous piece, 'Vicissitudes,' shows a ring of children holding hands, their concrete bodies slowly being colonized by corals and sponges. Other works include a man at a desk with a typewriter and a figure lounging on a bench, all fixed to the ocean bottom. Over time, the sculptures change dramatically, as nature reclaims the human forms with a living cloak of colourful organisms.
